3 Interoperability and Collaboration Lessons Learned at IHE Connectathon in Cleveland  www.dcmsys.com   The IHE North American Connectathon 207 brought together a large and diverse group of Health IT vendors.  This was a unique environment for Health IT vendors to collaborate -- rather than compete -- to demonstrate what is possible in the world of disparate systems and varying healthcare information standards.  www.dcmsys.com  Interoperability Lessons Learned :1. Unprecedented Collaboration Between Health IT Vendors:  the level of collaboration, openness and collegial atmosphere at the interoperability event was very impressive. As a result, bidirectional workflows setup were successfully created between Dicom Systems, GE and Epic. This collaboration sets the stage for Dicom Systems Unifier platform to become the enterprise imaging contributor in a live cancer-related simulation at the HIMSS 2017 Interoperability Showcase.  www.dcmsys.com  2.HL7 and DICOM Standards Are Still Dominant Most healthcare organizations still rely on tried and true standards such as HL7 and DICOM. Many routinely need to resolve basic DICOM routing and HL7 routing challenges related to having multiple, poorly integrated  vendors within their IT ecosystem. As a result, DICOM routers and HL7 routers still fulfill a vital operational role for our customers.  www.dcmsys.com
