An Anecdotal Glossary of Spectacle by M. Allen Cunningham (Oregon Humanities Magazine, Spring 2013) M. Allen Cunningham is the author of six books, including the #1 Indie Next novel The Green Age of Asher Witherow (Unbridled Books, 2004); a biographical novel about Rainer Maria Rilke entitled Lost Son (Unbridled Books, 2007); and Partisans (Atelier26, 2015), a samizdat novel about unbridled surveillance, constant war, and maddening technological upheaval, which was a finalist for the Flann O'Brien Award for Innovative Fiction. He recently edited and wrote the introduction for Funny-Ass Thoreau, a new collection of the humorous writings of Henry David Thoreau, the first volume of its kind. His work has appeared in many literary outlets including The Kenyon Review, Glimmer Train, Tin House, and Alaska Quarterly Review. The recipient of residencies at the Yaddo Colony and multiple fellowships and grants, Cunningham founded the independent literary press Atelier26 and is a contributing editor for Moss literary journal.
