During our guided reading group time I give each student the same list (these students are working on the same skills). They then whisper read each phrase. I listen carefully, and help students with words as needed. Each time they read the phrase, they check off one of the three boxes. I usually check off the last box or students read the sentences to a friend to check off.  Bossy R CardsIn my classroom I use letter cards to help my students identify letter sounds and combinations. When I hold up the letters “ ar ” my students must say “ arsays /ar /”. As always, use them as they fit your needs!!
