Chris’s Corner Column   by Chris Parker The excitement is building as we get closer to moving into our new Senior Center. We hope to be in our new location by early April. Watch for updates on our progress. Spring arrives this month, and with it, the urge to get outdoors and enjoy the longer, warmer days. The first day of spring is March 20, and we are planning a community  –wide “Spring Clean” for Saturday, March 18. If you have yard work that needs to be done (removing brush, trimming  branches, trash pickup) please call the Senior Center and we will gladly put you on the schedule. March is colorectal awareness month. If you have never had a colonoscopy, please talk to your doctor about getting one. It could save your life.  We will be offering a fish substitute each Friday in March. If you prefer fish, please let the kitchen know and we will be glad to accommodate you.  Alicia Williamson is a new community partner: she will be at the Senior Center on March first to give a talk on good nutrition for seniors. Please come in and take advantage of this and all our free services. The Senior Center is more than just a meal: we help you with tax preparation, toe nail clinics, information and referral services, entertainment, games and we also help you get the benefits you deserve: like food stamps, MoRX cards, or MoHealthnet. If you have questions, we have answers. Call the Center today and we will be glad to help you, whatever your need. Have a wonderful spring! hris    Marshfield Senior Center 515 E.
